Almond Tree House has been built with thick stone walls, stone tiled floors and has been traditionally finished with dark wood doors and windows yet this is an immensely light and airy house. Every room in the house has French doors, each opening onto a different area with its own characteristics. The entrance terrace is cool and shady and with comfortable rattan seating is an ideal place to take a little respite from the sun. The covered dining terrace overlooks the pool and garden and the upper bedroom terrace provides lovely views over the village, both benefit from glorious evening sun. However, it's the roof terrace with fantastic cushioned seating areas that provides the perfect place for early evening drinks with a magnificent sunset and sea views.

 

 

The villa has been immaculately finished and furnished and with great attention to detail. The kitchen area with brightly painted cupboards and dresser is cheerful and inviting, the sitting room with big squashy sofas is comfortable and appealing, all the bedrooms are spacious and cool and the bathrooms with their mosaic travertine tiles are both practical and pretty!

 

Outside, the pool (9 metres x 4.5 metres, depth ranging from 1.40 metres to 1.80 metres) is surrounded by sunbathing terraces and there is a lawned area. At night the pool and the garden can be floodlit and up on the roof terrace the lanterns are lit and with the star filled sky it creates a truly magical setting

 

This is a perfect family villa but also recommended for 2 couples holidaying together due to the bedroom/bathroom configuration.

Nearest beaches - The beaches and coves around Yalikavak and Gundoğan are within a 10 minute drive from the property. The larger sandy beaches on the south side of the Peninsula are all within a 25 minute drive. Gümüşlük with lagoon like swimming and great snorkelling is a 30 minute drive.

 

SHOPS & RESTAURANTS:

There is a small village shop just minutes from the property stocked with everyday items including fresh bread, fresh eggs and ice creams; once weekly there is a fruit and vegetable market. The nearest large supermarkets are on the main road to Yalikavak (15 minutes walk/3 minutes drive) and Yalikavak town also has a weekly fruit and vegetable market. There are many restaurants in Yalikavak town centre. (5 minutes drive).

Car hire is recommended although taxis can be called to the house.
