The Discovery of Change

When people make a conscious decision to travel and to make discoveries, they want to explore and understand the culture of foreign countries. This way, people do not only become acquainted with the local flora and fauna, but they also discover the differences between the local traditions and the way of life in their mother country.

The philosopher Alain de Botton stresses the idea that it is important to have a closer look at the concept of wanderlust. Ideally, one should become aware of the reason why one is interested in a certain trip, which goals one has in mind and which hopes and dreams one connects with the destination. De Botton supports his hypothesis with the example of Goethe's wanderlust: "Goethe was convinced, that his travels would change him as a person. That is a wonderful goal". Thus, the question of "WHY we travel" is central to IBE Travel.

Simultaneously, we at IBE Travel are concerned with the question of "HOW we travel" and take it upon ourselves to take on social responsibilities, wherever possible. "Ecotourism" is a broad umbrella term for tourism in natural or protected environments, Sometimes; however, it is used to describe ecologically conscious tourism. We would like to give the traveler the chance to really get in touch with the culture of the country visited. Our guests can choose to be accommodated with natives and be a part of the preparation of local meals. Additionally, we do not favor taking tourists in buses from one tourist attraction to the next. Instead, we give our customers the opportunity to discover great stretches of land by foot or by bicycle.
